Locations

Each of our centers was deliberately meant to resemble a family home so that children would feel comfortable there. They are smaller centers of between 55 and 70 children and have two levels. One level serves our younger children from 6 wks of age to young three year olds. The other level is devoted to preschoolers (ages 3-5) and grade school age children. Each center has a big play area outside and includes brightly colored and stimulating inside environments.

Early Learners Child Development Center On Windsor in Dubuque Iowa

Address: 3495 Windsor Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001
Phone:(563) 583-3501

This center opened in the fall of 1977 as the first north end child care center. The building was designed to fit in with the architecture of the Stone Hill community that was being developed around it. It is within minutes of several major manufacturers, downtown Dubuque, and the city island, and is also convenient to the Northwest Arterial commercial area. Only minutes from Highway 52/Central Ave, it is still in a very secluded, quiet neighborhood surrounded by the beautiful campus of the Order of the Sisters of St. Francis and their Stonehill Care Center and elderly apartments. Many of our clients come from the smaller communities north of the city as well as those who live and/or work nearby. The center is licensed for 56 children and has a staff of 14. The Onsite Director is Heather Kamm.

Early Learners Child Development Center On Duggan in Dubuque Iowa

Address: 610 Duggan Dr, Dubuque, IA 52003
Phone:(563) 556-8160

Having opened in the fall of 1980, this center is located on a quiet cul-de-sac off of Fremont Ave near the intersection of Freemont and Cedar Cross Rd. For the past 28 years, clients have found it to be very convenient to both the west and south sides of the city. Situated in the center of a large residential area, it is close to home, school, and work for many parents. We have traditionally served many seminary and college families, both students and teachers, and many of our clients work in the west end business district. As the south side of the city has become more developed, families have found it to be a convenient stop coming from Key West, Bellevue, and other smaller communities south of the city. The center was completely renovated inside in 2002, so we actually have a brand new, 28 year old center. With a license limit of 60 children, we have a staff of 18. Dana Watts has been the Onsite Director for 12 years.
